The Public Health Program in the College of Graduate Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the rank of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, available in 2019/2020 academic year. This position is supported by a competitive salary and benefit package fully funded by the institution. Applicants must have earned a clinical doctorate degree (e.g., DO/MD, DVM/VMD, DMD/DDS) as well as a public health-related degree (e.g., MPH, M.S. in Epidemiology), and have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching future healthcare professionals in an interdisciplinary environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will participate in the development and instruction of online and traditional courses in public health practice, administration, epidemiology, biostatistics, emerging and zoonotic infectious diseases, and food safety/security within a newly established MPH program in Global One Health for osteopathic medical, veterinary, dental, pharmacy, optometry, and other health science students. This position involves a significant amount of teaching with highly motivated healthcare professions graduate students in an interdisciplinary environment, but also offers the opportunity to develop a strong research program or to engage in other scholarly activities. A research start-up package can be made available to qualified candidates if justified.
