JOB TITLE: Regional Health Manager, Wellness Programs

In conjunction with the Senior Director of Innovations, provides leadership, administration, and management of Geisinger’s Health & Wellness Programs including direct oversight of the registered nurse health managers, health liaisons, and health coaches. Responsibilities include program development & deployment; including daily operations and staff management. Develops, implements, and evaluates strategic initiatives focused around patient care & quality outcomes as they align to the strategic plan. Establishes an integrated approach to wellness and prevention utilizing operational, clinical, and financial data in program design, implementation and evaluation. Works with other GHS operational departments as well as external customers.
Maintains overall fiscal responsibility for the health pillar of the innovations department in which there is direct program oversight. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Steel Institute of Innovations. Represents Geisinger in a professional manner. Responsible for daily operations of all functional components of the stated programs, including staff, software systems development, reporting, interface with other operational departments, and policies and procedures. Responsible for adherence to all regulatory agencies.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Steel Institute in its efforts to provide high value care to its members, in an integrated, innovative, collaborative fashion.
Reports to the Senior Director of Innovations, Geisinger Health System.

Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to analyze contracts, productivity figures, demographic information, statistics, and procedures.
Demonstrates ability to manage and lead team of health managers, health liaisons, and health coaches to attain optimal results.
Demonstrates experience designing, implementing, and managing disease management programs and staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in health, management, or related business discipline required.
Minimum four years in wellness/health promotion or disease/case management, or nursing experience required. Minimum two years of management related experience preferred.
Knowledge/background in employee wellness programs required. Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA), the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Laws preferred. Experience in an insurance or occupational medicine business preferred. Experience in disease/case management, managed care and health care preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license for travel to company locations required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Duties require exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally (approximately 10-33% of shift) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, and pull articles such as files and boxes.
Must be able to independently travel between GHS office and identified locations as required.
